Feltouch Design Center Status

One of the reasons why states can play an effective role in global decision-making is the businesses that produce high value-added products. Through the R&D and Design activities generated by these businesses, states can sustain their economic growth. Various incentives have been offered in our country for many years to help businesses increase their investments in product development, research, and the creation of new products/systems/methods.

One of the most significant incentives for supporting these activities is the R&D and Design Center incentives under Law No. 5746, managed by the Ministry of Industry. The Ministry of Industry outlines its objectives regarding this incentive and the expectations from businesses that achieve this status as follows: Businesses must innovate in their production and processes to produce technological knowledge that raises the quality and standards of their products and services, and they must find ways to commercialize this technological knowledge. As a result of these activities, businesses can accelerate the inflow of foreign capital investments into the country; therefore, they need to create employment that will increase the qualified workforce needed for these activities.

Businesses wishing to become R&D/Design Centers must first create a suitable and controllable physical space where this workforce can carry out these activities. They must also provide the infrastructure and equipment necessary for this personnel to work comfortably and effectively. While carrying out these activities, they should define how they will implement their collaborations (with suppliers, experts, technology parks, universities, industries, etc.) and intellectual property rights. They should provide training to their personnel when necessary and offer all the support needed for the tasks to be completed thoroughly.

Personnel should be encouraged to develop and implement innovative ideas through R&D and Design activities, and a suggestion development system should be established within the business to reward employees.

Since its establishment, Feltouch has earned the status of a Design Center under Law No. 5746, granted by the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey in August, thanks to its value-added and innovative R&D and Design projects, as well as the products that have emerged from these projects, which dominate its market position. With the Design Center process, Feltouch aims to make significant progress toward achieving long-term growth and sustainability goals by increasing its investment in R&D and Design activities.
